STEINBACH NUTCRACKERS
"The Steinbach family has been making German folk art for 5 generations. Founded in 1832, the Steinbach factories use only the best aged wood of beech, maple, and linden. Christian Steinbach learned, as a boy, the techniques of carving and lathe turning. Today, his daughter [and company vice president] Karla, is passing these traditions on to her children. Herr Steinbach says, "A nutcracker is not a tool, but a symbolic figure- one that gives happiness, and protects home and family."
We have dozens of Steinbachs in stock, and can special order any that are still being made. If you don't find what you are looking for here, contact us @ 800-244-2197. Along with the regular nutcracker series, we carry dozens of the Mini Nutcrackers{running about $50}, and the Steinbach Ornaments{$18}. Call or e-mail us for specific choices.
