Pictures don't do justice to the intricate detail and skill of the Russian artists who carve and paint these pieces. Previously employed to maintain and restore state treasures, these artists now have the freedom to create their own works. Rest assured, the back of these pieces is just as detailed as the front.

We also carry nesting dolls and matrishkas that measure from 1" to 10" (including 3-10 nesting pieces), and costing from $15-$750.We have santas and angels from 1" to 15", and costing from $20 to $1200. Call #1-800-244-2197 for details.

These Russian carvings are made by a husband and wife team from a small village, east of Moscow.They are beautifully detailed- both in the carving and the painting. These Russian artists have an unusual style, combining unusual forms and fairy-tale painting. These Russian carvings are truly unforgettable and unique. We have included a Halloween carving, and a Holy family, which can also be seen in "seasons" and "nativities".
